Too. many. pictures. to. choose. from.
I had an absolute blast this weekend in Yosemite. It was a pretty short-lived overnight trip, but so worth it. My best friend from high school flew up from LA to camp with me. Saturday morning I finished packing, made some treats for the car ride, and picked her up from the airport. We went from airport to Yosemite!
It rained a bit on our drive in, even including some heavy downpours. When we got there, the sun was out and it was lovely! We set up camp and took a walk down to Curry Village, and then it poured for the next several hours. Not exactly what we were hoping for, but Yosemite sure is gorgeous even in the rain.
We got some drinks and sought cover indoors for awhile. Fortunately there’s a bar and a pizza place in Curry Village! I officially need to scour the area for Half Dome Wheat Ale because it was amazing. I also had a hot coffee with soy milk and Frangelico – hello, happy winter drink. We will meet again for sure 🙂
After my sister and brother-in-law arrived, we braved the rain to set up their camp and then ran back for some pizza.
My friend Laurie and I slept in the car, which was much cozier than our tent, since it was then floating on a little stream…
Yesterday was idyllic. The rain cleared out, the sun popped up, and we had a beautiful day for hiking!
I can only do so much to limit my pictures. Friends, family, my adorable niece, and gorgeous Yosemite views are so hard to cut down!
Here are some of my favorite pictures from my wonderful weekend.
