I don’t need to repeat how much I hate winter, huh? I feel like I’ve more than sufficiently covered that this year 😉
BUT I don’t know that I have sufficiently reminded you that although I’m not normally a summer girl (spring and fall forever, please) I LOVED this past summer. Like, definitely more than any summer before ever.
I think a lot of that is because I made and actually completed a huge bucket list. There were definitely a few times when I thought that was a horrible mistake because I took on WAY too much and was SUPER busy. But it made me do all those really stereotypical summer things that I always picture doing and rarely actually accomplish. I actually soaked up and loved summer for SUMMER. Not just because it was a break from school (i.e. really the only thing I loved about summer previously…)
SO I am doing the same thing for winter. (Well, I did a fall bucket list too but I honestly never looked at it again because I need zero help in the “love and appreciate fall” department.) I’m piling up a bucket list of little things to do in an attempt to love winter.
I’m going for optimism! An attitude adjustment, really.
So I’m back at it! Trying to make the most of winter. Keep my head up. Enjoy those overcast rainy days that used to thrill me. Make comfort food an event. Stay active. Stay grounded. Be happy.
It was ten thousand times harder to write this manifesto than the last two. (Fine, fine, maaaayyyybe 10,000 is an exaggeration.) But it’s here, it’s happening.
Winter: Bring it.
