my ridiculous dog’s new afternoon habit. Lately in the afternoons, the light shines through our kitchen window in a way that makes floating bits of dust VERY noticeable (and man, it makes me feel like I need to dust entirely more often.) Well this little freak likes to attack the dust. It’s hysterical, and he could easily spend a half an hour just lunging at ghosts in the kitchen.
a free mini makeover. I just reorganized my office at work and wound up bringing a few things, including this FAVE piece of artwork, home. It feels like a nice little makeover for home and for work, but I’ve just rearranged things I already own.
tote bag. This is a super late one, but I don’t think I included it in a favorites post of any kind yet. I think it’s because sometimes you have those things that just seamlessly fit in your life to the point that you barely notice them, right? But if you stop to think, they’re always your favorite things. So that’s exactly what this tote bag is Preston got me for Christmas.
giant scrapbook update. I’ve barely gotten my scrapbook done this year at all! Just this week I printed a humongous batch of photos so I can catch up 😉
a new herbal routine. I have an AWESOME doctor who is all for natural remedies before resorting to crazy medications or chemicals (yay!) She just gave me a little herbal routine to combat my anxiety, including this soothing tea to help me sleep.
flowers, as always. Are you surprised??
fitbit bands. Another super late Christmas present to be making the list. Though this one is more because I just didn’t use these enough until recently. I had interchangeable bands for my original Fitbit Flex, but now that I have the Flex 2, the bands are just daintier and prettier, and these beautiful buckled bands feel a lot more like jewelry. I’m not sure if these are my exact bands, but they look like it…
cold brew coffee. Because when it’s already over 100 degrees in May, you need it.
coconut protein powder. Return of the best protein powder known to man. I’m thinking 2 tubs wasn’t enough….
balcony garden. Another happy spring return! We are growing peppers again this year since they did so well. I’m also having moderate success not killing a few herbs!
almond champagne. My favorite almond champagne. Which I may or may not have popped last night for no reason whatsoever… 😉
extra crafting time. Normally I get my creative bug the most in the fall, but lately I’ve just had the itch to get more little bits of creativity in my day. I bought this mixed media notebook and have just doodled, fingerpainted, or used it as messy “do I have any idea how to use watercolors?” space. Some pages look like a toddler got to them and some are beautiful “finished products.” But it’s a wonderful release.
