MY FRIENDS!!! Happy Monday.
Back at ya with another recap post. It’s a touch shorter than my last ones because I haven’t been up to a whole lot the last couple weeks (HOORAY!)
Super fun and easy jewelry project! I made a few crystal bracelets for one of my favorite people for her birthday. I LOVED how they turned out. And that it motivated me to learn more about crystals. Now I gotta make a few for myself… 🙂
Took Nedders out for beer 😉 I am kicking myself for not taking a picture of the freaking incredible falafel gyro I had from a food truck while we were here. I don’t make falafel much because I once deep fried a couple finger tips while making it 😉 So sometimes I forget that I actually love falafel. But I might suck it up to remake the yummy gyro I had.
I took Ned to the dog park a couple weekends ago. He seemed THRILLED when we got there. He ran and fetched his ball twice. And then he found a place to chill in the shade and just sat there. He keeps doing this – he closes his eyes and it seems like he’s just smelling the fresh air. 😀 I gave up on fetch and went to sit on a shady bench myself, and he came and sat with me. So much for getting his energy out, but I kept him there for awhile anyway so he could enjoy some time outside.
A friend of ours snagged some VIP tickets to a River Cats game (our local minor league baseball team). It was a blast! We had awesome seats on a balcony where we ate dinner, and then moved to our other seats behind home plate.
Always snapping photos of these two…
I had a nice little visit with my sis and fam. Baby nephew is getting a SERIOUS personality lately. He’s talking more and more, rambunctious as hell, and is thoroughly developing his bratty little sibling traits (which I’m allowed to say as a bratty little sibling myself 😉 )
He’s also got his couch climbing and cookie stealing abilities down…
I didn’t go watch boyfriend’s softball tournament this year, but he had a weekend full of playing. And I snagged a pic his dad took 😉
Boyfriend and I met up with friends in the middle of the week for some beer, and after our friends took off we stopped into Pieology for pizza. I don’t know why we don’t go there more often, it’s SO good.
I just got Ned this huge fluffy blanket for his crate. We had to replace his old bed and the new one we got is SO LOUD every time he moves on it. But then he’ll scratch at it and it wakes me up with a start, it is SO loud. Seriously. Plus this spoiled pupster loves pillows and blankets, so I thought something big and fluffy would help. He seems to love it, but the cat loves it about ten times more.
On Friday, I got home feeling blue from such a long, stressful, and unpleasant week. Preston took me out to Crawdad’s on the river and our friends slowly met us. I have no idea how long we were there (thanks to my very strong drinks 😉 ) but at least a couple hours of chilling, drinking, and chatting with friends. We went back to our place and after I calmed my hyper self I did some scrapbooking late into the night. Like the super cool person that I am.
Which led to a very slow Saturday 😀 But that was so needed. We didn’t do a whole lot in the morning except get some birthday presents for Preston’s niece and nephew. In the afternoon, we headed out to P’s brother’s house to celebrate the kids’ birthdays.
Sunday was also pretty slow! We headed out to the farmer’s market after we woke up. And when we realized we had almost NO cash with us and they took away the ATM at the farmer’s market (DUMB.) we headed out to get coffee and pastries elsewhere (boyfriend loves getting coffee and pastries when we get to the farmer’s market and then doing our shopping.) A Philz coffee opened in town not too long ago. We tried to go once but the line was insane and we were not in a patient mood. But I think we made it early enough on Sunday (and it’s been open longer) that we avoided the worst of the crowd. It still took AWHILE. But the coffee was phenomenal and the avocado toast was BOMB.
And then we headed out for a bike ride. We did about 16 miles, and it was just fantastic outside. And really helped to calm me down 🙂
Sunday night we relaxed with dinner in front of the TV and shared a s’mores cookie we bought from Philz earlier in the day. My kind of Sunday night.
