But I did a whole lot this summer, so here’s my UN-bucket list. Not what I WISH I could do or had done. This is what I DID. Accomplishments, events, and joys – small and large.
went floating down the American River – for the first time ever!
camped somewhere new
made my first strawberry rhubarb pie ever!
learned to make gummy bears. (and made a LOT.)
coated gummy bears in chocolate.
revisited an old favorite treat (a LOT.) – OREO BALLS!!
bottled my own wine
used my barbecue a LOT.
tried so many new cocktails.
made too many servings of frose.
welcomed Preston’s parents to town! (to stay!)
made videos for bloggy.
baked a cherry pie.
saw friends from out of town.
spent time by the river.
and chilling on lakes.
and in my kayaks. (I’ll just live by the water forever, mmkay?)
drank a pina colada at the movies. (this list is in no particular order… because I’d be super embarrassed about how high this would rank if I ordered it.)
ate the best cookie ever.
tried to duplicate the best cookie ever.
failed. (FOR NOW.)
celebrated my dad’s sixtieth birthday.
and my sister’s 33rd.
ate way more veggie burgers than normal.
grilled corn (way less than normal.)
went to a beach. actually, a few beaches.
swam in a lake.
went to a paint and wine night.
got a bit of a real tan. (okay, pretty much just my arms and upper back. but they are TAN.)
got a fake tan. to even out the pale-ness of everything aside from my arms and back 🙂
grew some peppers on the balcony (though not very well this year!)
baked way more bread than I normally do in the summer.
went to the state fair.
played games at the zoo. (and got my face painted. and drank ICEEs with booze.)
read a ton.
kayaked down the river.
went wine tasting with friends. again.
ran through sprinklers.
instinctively jogged around sprinklers and then regretted it because it was HOT.
saw some good sunsets.
went for walks when the weather allowed.
put fruit in my water.
went to a baseball game.
and apparently I Instagrammed a whole lot.
