I’ve turned it into a little tradition to get vegan jerky for my dad’s and my stockings for Christmas. This year I bought a mixed pack of this Primal vegan jerky and it’s so good I can’t even handle it. I am going to order a mega pack because I already MISS it. Such a healthy high-protein vegan snack, and the ingredients are stellar.
Would it be boring if I just posted photos of all my cupboards on here? Because those are for sure my favorite things lately. I was an organizing FOOL this month, and I am incredibly proud of how well organized my home is – and I wasn’t just re-folding and tidying things. I did complete overhauls of how I organize almost my entire home. But by far my favorite is my DVDs. I didn’t want to get rid of them, but they were so hideous stacked on our bookshelf. I got rid of all the cases,
In my January organization and purging, I badly wanted to get rid of a bunch of travel mugs (which have lately been grossing me out because I CANNOT get all the nooks and crannies in the lids clean) so I went a leeettle bit overboard and ordered a custom Hydroflask travel mug so I could get the size and shape I wanted in their pretty dark green color that they currently only have in their boozy options. Zero regrets. It’s beautiful, keeps my coffee super hot, AND the lid is leak-proof but super easy to clean. I got rid of four tumblers in its place, so that’s a triumph!
I already raved about Mille Bornes (and my good ebay luck) on my last recap post. But I’ve been having fun playing that, Monopoly Deal, and looking up other fun and quick card games Preston and I can play. I grew up playing cards constantly but P LOATHES card games. Now that we’re getting married, I told him he has to find some games he enjoys. It’s been kind of a fun project and we have a tiny collection of games he enjoys started!
An impulse purchase at Hobby Lobby is one of my FAVORITE things right now. I have been on the hunt for a good white pen for my scrapbook (since it turned out that the paint pen I had at first must have been a fluke. I’ve repurchased a few and none work!) These white gel pens write really well (not flawlessly, though) on any dark colored paper or even on a glossy photo!
Purple shampoo has become a MUST since getting my hair dyed because it just wants to turn YELLOW. But this stuff is slowly (I’m being cautious) removing the yellow and brassy tones from my hair.
I should probably be ashamed of how unbelievably happy this one makes me, but I am OVER THE MOON excited that Tone It Up’s coconut protein (the same as their previous Perfect Fit protein) is now a PERMANENT flavor, and you can get it at TARGET FOR $23 A TUB!!! Holy shit, guys. This is a game-changer. It’s actually surprising that I haven’t made a coconut protein recipe this month… watch for that really soon.
In other exciting food news, I found TenRen’s Tea wasabi green tea peanuts at Costco! I love wasabi peanuts and it’s pretty hard to find good ones. These are my FAVORITES. Though sadly a Costco sized bag did not last long in our apartment. 🙁
My efforts to get organized and focused this month are mostly going really well. And I’m loving Wunderlist to get more organized, but mostly because it’s made me realize that my “ideal” tasks to accomplish in a week or a month are completely unrealistic and I simply have to cut back/down/out. A very helpful lesson when you can see it in the form of 60 red “overdue” tasks that you cannot possibly do when you expected yourself to.
And lastly, it has been SO UNBELIEVABLY FOGGY here lately, and I absolutely love the fog. Last weekend, P and I went for a hike in the crazy fog which was really fun and made for some super cool photos. (Like at the top of this post.)
WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN LOVING LATELY?
