Fishless Filets w/ Dill Dijonnaise

IMG_6332

This is SUCH an easy “recipe,” guys! The awesome folks at Gardein sent me a sample of their newest product, golden fishless filets, so I got to try them this weekend 🙂

I am seriously impressed! In my pre-vegan days I bought a package of tilapia once a week, which usually meant I ate it twice a week. I am super stoked to have a vegan “fish” to enjoy some of my favorite old tilapia recipes.

I scoured my brain trying to think of which recipe to try first, and then I realized that I wanted to go with very plain and simple first try so I can taste the new filets! So I mixed up a little dill dijonnaise, steamed some simple broccoli, and cooked the filets.

It was a super fast dinner, and sooooo good!

I am going to get creative with the rest of these filets, though it’s seriously tempting to just repeat this simple yummy meal.

dill dijonnaise:
serves 2
1 T reduced fat vegan mayo
2 t dijon mustard
1/4 t dry dill

Stir everything together!

The fishless filets cook up nice and crispy in the toaster oven.  I steamed some broccoli while it was cooking, and dolloped on some of the dill dijonnaise!  IMG_6335
