Happy Thursday, friends! I am just dropping by for a quickie post because I’m still sick and don’t feel like typing much up. It’s like each day of this flu features a different symptom which is super lame. Though given the way Preston’s flu went down (and one of my coworker’s who I also may have gotten this from…), I’m optimistic that I’m flying through these symptoms on a speedy basis and may be near the end. Fingers crossed.
When I had a brief moment of feeling well, I whipped up this smoothie for this post. Then I thought maybe it would be easier to digest if I strained it (it turns out pretty thin anyway), so it is kind of a juice or smoothie, depending on your preference. Or just throw in more ice and it’s really a smoothie.
I could only do a few sips, but the rest is waiting for me for breakfast, and hopefully I’m up for it! It certainly tastes wonderful, I’m just not about to tempt the flu gods by overdoing it.
Here’s the recipe!
- 1/3 C frozen blueberries
- 1/3 C frozen peaches
- juice of 1 whole grapefruit
- 2/3 C unsweetened Silk Cashew milk
- 1 T honey (or whatever sweetener you prefer)
- 1 T ground flax seed
- Blend ‘er up and you’re done!
- Unless you feel like being a bit of a weirdo like me and straining it, but that turned out great! I’m probably going to make a juice version of this because I loved that, so watch for it soon! 🙂
