Carrot Pineapple OJ + Green Smoothie

Quickie post today!

Just a wonderful juice recipe that is fantastically sweet and refreshing.  Perfect for a summer morning.

Then I blended it into a smoothie with some greens.

Hope you enjoy one of these summer treats to cool you down 🙂

carrot pineapple oj:

serves 4
1 pineapple
2 large oranges (mine were the size of 3 normal oranges)
4 carrots
optional: a couple handfuls of greens
optional: one-inch piece of turmeric root

To make: put everything in a juicer!

green smoothie:
serves 1
1 serving carrot pineapple oj (about 1 C)
2 C baby spinach
1 C ice
1 T flax seed, ground
optional: 1 frozen banana

To make: Blend juice and spinach together until the spinach is well-incorporated.  Then add the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth.  If you have a high-powered blender, just add everything at once.
