Immunity Powerhouse Green Smoothie

Guys, I’m sick.

Boo.

It’s pretty mild, but I am feeling a little slow and sleepy, so the other day I decided to take a nice long lunch and go home and make myself a nutrition-packed smoothie (where I could drink it under a blanket, of course) to re-energize me for the afternoon.

It was phenomenal, and definitely did the trick in keeping me alert, so I’m making a quickie post out of it!  Hope you enjoy, and maybe it’ll help those of you who are still well avoid catching a cold!

serves 1
1 C frozen blueberries
1 C fresh spinach
1 C light coconut milk
1 t spirulina powder
1 T flax seed, ground
1 T maple syrup

Blend the spinach with the coconut first if you don’t have a high-speed blender.  Otherwise the spinach won’t mix in well.  Then blend everything else together!

Paired really well with a piece of avocado toast!

How are you faring this winter?  What do you eat to try to get over a cold?
